Beautiful blooming of medium sized, dark red anemone form flowers. Strong upright habit. Camellias are versatile evergreen shrubs, suitable for both traditional and modern garden design. Winter-Spring flowering, frost tolerant, partial shade. Likes well-drained, fertile soil, and water/mulch in summer. There are two main species of Camellia commonly grown in New Zealand, Japonica and Sasanqua. There are also Hybrid, Groundcover and Camellia Sinensis available. An evergreen tree or shrub that blooms through winter and spring. All camellia prefer a free draining soil with loads of organic matter & slightly acidic soil.
